Chasing Amsterdam

Documenting city life in Amsterdam on a weekly basis
Between 2020 and 2021, I photographed the streets of Amsterdam each week for the Dutch newspaper Het Parool. What began as a routine of observing everyday life, became a record of a changing city during the pandemic.


Results

︎The images were published weekly in Amsterdam’s main newspaper Het Parool, reaching over 50,000 readers
︎I published a book of the series, Chasing Amsterdam, which sold out within months
︎My photo book was selected as one of the best books of 2022 by national newspaper De Volkskrant
︎The photographs were featured on billboards across Amsterdam to promote the photo book
