SAVE THE CHILDREN
Showing impact to support the mission of Team UpSave the Children commissioned me to visually communicate the impact of TeamUp, a structured sports and play programme
designed for children who have experienced war, displacement, or conflict.
TeamUp uses guided physical activities and games to strengthen children’s psychosocial well-being. The exercises are designed to support a sense of safety, trust, and stability, helping children process stress and reconnect with others through play and movement. The photographic work needed to reflect these values and convey the supportive environment created by the programme.
In addition, Save the Children aimed to document daily life inside refugee reception centres. These images accompanied interviews with children who shared reflections on their experiences, their routines, and their lives in the centres.
My Role
︎Documenting the interactions between children and volunteers, with attention to moments that expressed the core principles Team Up
︎Observational photography of the sports exercises, capturing both the structure of the activities and the overall atmosphere of the sessions
︎Producing documentary images of everyday life in refugee centres, providing visual context to the children’s stories and lived experiences.
